God Only Wrote One Bible

The writers of the NT were not left to choose they wrote.  Inspiration refers to the supernatural direction, and guidance, which the authors of the Bible received the Spirit. They wrote what was revealed to them. The words of the Bible did not originate in the minds of the Apostles. “eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us (word by word) by His Spirit. Which things also we speak, not in the words of man’s wisdom teacheth, but (words) which the HS teacheth”. I Cor. 2:9-13.

Every word came directly from God through man. “ for the prophecy (teaching) came (carried along) not in old time by the will of men, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the HS”. II Peter 1:21. The words” came and moved” are the same Greek word, (Phero) which means to be carried along, as a sailboat is driven before the wind. In Acts 27:15, 17, the word “drive” in vs. 15 and the word “driven” in verse 17 are from the same Greek word.

That is why Paul said in II Timothy 3:15, “all Scripture is God breathed”. Because all Scripture is God breathed, we are warned in Duet. 4:2, “ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord you God which I command you”.

In doubting the Bible, we make God a liar. I John 5:9, “if we receive the witness of men (and sometimes we do) the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son”. The Psalmist said in Psalm 138:2, “for thou hast magnified (increase) thy word above all thy name”.

The one who profanes that Word by showing disrespect toward it, or by substituting or adding to are heading for eternal damnation and separation from God. John 12:48, “he that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

We need to pray, and work together to keep God’s word pure. Many versions of the Bible are out there today, and man has inserted words which came not by God, but by man. For this, they will stand in judgment, to give and answer. I Peter 3:15, we are always, “ready to give an answer to all”. Even God.
