And all that is within me,

And forget none of His benefits.

God Seen Through His Word

“I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage”. Acts 7:2, “men, brethren, and fathers, hearken. The God of glory appeared to our fathers”. Romans 15:33, “now the God peace be with you all”.

The Scriptures tell us that God is a spirit, eternal, all-wise, all knowing, all powerful, everywhere at once, unchangeable, faithful and holy. Some of these things are hard to understand. How can God be in more than one place at once? Because human understanding at its best, is limited. There are some things we must accept by faith, believing them because God has said they are true.

But there are other description of God in the Scriptures. He is our Father. Jesus teaches when you pray, say, “Father, hallowed be thy name”.

Luke 11:2. We know that God is good, loving, and merciful. God loves us, I John 4:8, “God is love”. By His love for us, He supplies all our needs. Read Matthew 6:30. He takes care of all our physical needs. But also our spiritual needs. Paul said in Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”. If we understand these things, we truly get a good picture of who God is.

Lot of children have never known a loving father. Lot of fathers have often been brutal toward their children. God is not this type of father. Lot of children have had good earthly fathers, who love them, cared for them. God is like a good earthly father, only wiser and more loving. John 3:16, “for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son”.
