And all that is within me,

And forget none of His benefits.

Has Heaven Or Hell Changed, Or Changeless?

“fear not them which can kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”. Many other passages can be cited concerning hell. People today talk about things changing in our world today, that some Scriptures are not applicable to us today. Has the place called “hell” changed today from what the Scriptures quoted about it? Has the place called “heaven” changed today from what the Scriptures quoted about it?

Hell has not changed. It is still the place where “the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched”. Mk.9:43-49.  It is still, “the place of darkness, weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth”. Matt. 13:42-50. It is still, “the place of everlasting destruction from the presence of God”. II Thes. 1:8, 9. It is still the place, “prepared for the devil and his angels, eternal fire”. Matt. 25:41. It is still, “a place where the soul is destroyed”, Matt. 10:28, “a place of unquenchable fire”, Matt. 3:12, still a,” place of outer darkness”, Matt. 22:13, still a, “place of continual torment”, Rev. 14:10, 11, a place called, “a lake of fire”, Rev. 20:15, and a place called, “the second death”, Rev. 21:8. If hell has changed, who changed it? Has the length of it changed, or the purpose of it changed, or the intensity of the heat there changed? Has it changed of who will go there? You might as well preach, “there is, “no Son of God” as to preach, “no hell”, or to change what the Scriptures says about hell.

Has heaven changed today from what the Scriptures quoted about it? Heaven is, “still God’s dwelling place”, Duet.26:15.  We can still, “pray to our Heavenly Father”, Matt. 6:9. When we confess Christ, we have the assurance He will, “confess us before the Father who is in heaven”, Matt. 10:32. Heaven is still, “the place of many mansions”, Jn. 14:1. It is a, “land that is fairer than day”, Rev. 21:22-27. Heaven is still a place, “where all tears shall be wiped away”, Rev. 21:4. Heaven is a place of rest, Heb. 4:9, it is, “a heavenly country”, Heb. 11:16. Heaven is God’s paradise, II Cor.12:2-4. Heaven is a, “great city, the holy Jerusalem”, Rev. 21:10. A place where the righteous will reign forever and ever. Rev. 22:4, 5.

If the gospel today has changed, the pattern has changed, the church, the bride of Christ has changed, why hasn’t heaven or hell also changed? It is obedience to the gospel, according to the pattern, that one has the privilege of being with God. Matthew 25:31-46. John 14:6, Christ states, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by Me”.

Yes, things changed, but not everything. God does not change. Mal.3:6. With God being unchangeable, His word is likewise unchangeable. What the Scriptures about, “heaven and hell”, will not change as time goes on.
