"for I believe God"

            It was stated concerning Paul, that he may have been set at liberty if he had not appealed to Caesar (Ac. 26:32).  Paul and others were placed on a ship heading to Rome where he would testify of Christ as he did in Jerusalem (Ac. 23:11).

            As they made their journey, there was a tempestuous wind and all hope of survival was taken away (27:20).  Paul attempted to alleviate the fear of the people by telling them the angel of God stood by him and said that God hath given him all that sail with him (Ac. 27:24).  Paul's response..."for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me" (v. 25).  Wow!  When God speaks, do you believe him?  He speaks by his inspired word (Heb. 1:1,2; Eph. 3:3-5).  Do you believe him when he says:

1)  He created all things (Gn. 1:1,2)?

2)  Man was created in his image (Gn. 1:26,27)?

3)  Man has a soul (Gn. 2:7)?

4)  The soul of man will return to God (Ecc. 12:6,7)?

5)  The Bible is from God (2 Tm. 3:16,17)?

6)  The Bible is God's final revelation to man (Jude 3)?

7)  The Bible is God's complete and all-sufficient word (2 Pt. 1:3)?

8)  Jesus is the Son of God (Jn. 3:16)?

9)  Jesus is Lord and Christ (Ac. 2:36)?

10) Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Rev. 17:14)?

11)  There is a coming day of Judgment (Ro. 14:10-12)?

12)  Jesus will be the Judge on that day (Jn. 5:22)?

13)  The Word of God will be the standard (Ro. 2:16)?

14)  There is but one body (Eph. 4:4)?

15)  The body is the church (Eph. 1:22,23)?

16)  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved (Mk. 16:16)?

17)  One must be continue in the Gospel to be saved (1 Cor. 15:1-3)?

18)  Only marriage between a man and a woman is acceptable (Mt. 15:1-9)?

19)  There is only one faith (Eph. 4:5)?

20)  God's word will never change (Mt. 24:35)?

I ask again:  Do you believe God?
